Buddy Beds, a dog bed company, needed a brand identity that was modern and stylish, featuring a wordmark logo with a subtle reference to dogs.
How to standout?
The challenge was to create a distinctive logo in a market saturated with dog-related imagery, such as paws and snouts. After experimenting with these classic elements, we decided to use a more unique reference: the dog's tail.
Visual element
Initial tests with the target audience revealed that while they liked the logo, not all of them immediately recognized the dog's tail. The client wanted the reference to dogs to be clearer but was open to incorporating this clarity through additional visual elements rather than altering the logo itself.
